Holocaust survivor speaks to Year 9

Yesterday, Ms. Scott's Y9 English class listened to Lea Gleitman speak, a Holocaust survivor, about her life before, during and after the Nazi

Lea Gleitman is one of the Holocaust's few Jewish survivors, living in Malmö. On April 15, 1945, Lea Gleitman was liberated by British troops in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. At 95 years young, she visits schools and talks to students about her life and experiences. She is a Holocaust survivor. She spoke to the students about her experience in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, her life before the war (she lived in the city where Auschwitz concentration camp was built), and she spoke about the importance of never forgetting what has happened.

Lea Gleitman is one of the few Jewish survivors of the Holocaust who remains to tell about the Nazi deeds. It was a memorable experience for all.
